The Bombay High Court stated, "We are concerned for the children...let's investigate the possibility of a peaceful settlement."


A habeas corpus (produce the person) petition submitted by the actor asking his ex-wife to divulge the whereabouts of their 12-year-old daughter and 7-year-old son was being heard by a division bench of Justices Revati Mohite Dere and Sharmila Deshmukh.


The actor claimed his wife had brought the kids from Dubai to India without telling him, and that this was having an impact on their schooling because they weren't going to school.

The actor, his ex-wife, and their two kids were requested to come before the bench on April 3 for an in-camera hearing by the bench on Thursday.

Adnan Shaikh, the solicitor for Nawazuddin Siddiqui, informed the bench that a proposed consent term had been sent as the high court had earlier ordered.

"The suggested consent terms have been sent. It has been six days, and we still have not heard back. They don't want to settle, "added Mr. Shaikh.

Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his ex-wife Zainab Siddiqui were today ordered by the Bombay High Court to appear before it on April 3 along with their two minor children to discuss the potential of amicably resolving their differences for the benefit of the kids.
