What should we expect from Windows 12?

System configuration and requirements

We believe that Windows 12 could be released in 2024, however it may be too soon to say for sure. What system requirements can we predict with the release, though, is more essential.
In order to make assumptions about what might be in Windows 12, let's analyze some of the prerequisites for earlier Windows operating systems.

We can guess about several factors by using the following table as reference. Of course, none of our speculation is supported by any factual information.

Expected Windows 12 features

Both Microsoft and we are unclear of the new functionality that the OS will offer at this time.

See out what Microsoft has planned for Windows 11 now. Then perhaps we can make assumptions about Windows 12's position.

Here is what we would love to see while utilising the excellent graphic works of Addy Visuals:

A more attractive desktop and taskbar arrangement

A new Start menu with quick access to all functions (until then, you can use one of the best Windows 11 free Start menu replacement apps)

A new battery overview menu for the device

a useful taskbar component for playing music

A more attractive notification dashboard (at the moment, you can get rid of Windows 11 notifications temporarily or permanently)

An updated file explorer layout

An improved file browser with cutting-edge functionality similar to the Finder on Mac

Alt+Tab shortcut key has a new user interface.
Microsoft is working to make the Alt+Tab feature faster and thinner while attempting to lessen the amount of blurriness that appears on the screen when using it.

Drag-and-drop assistance for the taskbar

Added a new safety mechanism: Smart App Control

Your system will be shielded from any unauthorized attacks thanks to the Smart App Control feature present in the soon-to-be-released Windows 11 22H2.
This software is configured to prevent any files from downloading or installing automatically, lowering the risk of exposure to viruses and phishing attacks.
